2010 Touriga Nacional

What We Taste
Spiced dark fruit and chocolates, wispy rose petals, fine grained tannins, sandalwood accents, silky & detailed finish. Just ... so ... magnificently elegant.

What We Made
75% Touriga Nacional, 25% Petite Sirah.  Touriga is sometimes called Portugal۪'s Cabernet.  In our case, the vineyard is small and gorgeous, we only produce about 285 cases. After cold soaking the grapes 5 days, the juice was fermented separately in 1 ton open top fermenters, punched down 3x daily, then underwent a 5 day maceration. 100% barrel aged for 12 months in premium French oak -- Dargaud & Jaegle, Radoux, Vallaurine, Quintessence. 50% of that oak was new.  14.1% ABV.

How We Serve
At about 60 degrees. Cool it down 15 minutes in your refrigerator. Pairs incredibly well with bold preparations of pork, lamb, beef, poultry. Also a natural marriage for hearty stews --- like Morrocan Lamb Stew or a good ol' All-American Beef Stew.
